Congratulations to Damonta Henry for being named Suburban Life Newspapers Player of the Year!
Damonta Henry was named Suburban Life newspapers Winter athlete of the year for west Cook County. He follows the footsteps of Bulldog alums Ryan Jackson and Chris Parrish, who were named players of the year by the Suburban Life in 2011 and 2008. Damonta is the first junior from RB to be named player of the year. Joining Damonta on the All-Area team was 6'7 junior, Miki Ljuboja. Seniors Luke Nortier and Louis Marino were named honorable mention all area.

March 18, 2012:
Damonta Henry Named to Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State Team!
Congratulations to junior guard Damonta Henry for being named to the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All State 4th Team for Class 3A and 4A. Junior Miki Ljuboja received votes and was just short of making the 4th team being named All State Special Mention, while senior Luke Nortier was named Honorable Mention. Congratulations to these three Bulldogs on this wonderful accomplishment.
Congratulations to David Aldape as he advanced to Peoria for the IHSA Country Companies Three Point Showdown. David shot among 32 of the best 3A shooters in the state and made 8 shots, putting him in the middle of the pack among the 32 shooters. 11 made three pointers would have qualified him for the final four. Great Job David!
March 9, 2012:
David Aldape Advances Downstate!
Congratulations to junior guard David Aldape for qualifying to go downstate in the IHSA three point contest. David tied for the lead with 8 made three pointers in the sectional final and now advances to shoot at the Peoria Civic Center on Thursday, March 15th at 5:00 in the IHSA Country Companies Three Point Showdown.
March 7, 2012:
Sean McGonagill '10 Named to All-Ivy League Team!
Congratulations to Brown University guard, Sean McGonagill '10 for being named to the All-Ivy League 2nd Team. Sean led the Bears in scoring (13.5 ppg) and assists (5.4 apg), and was 3rd on the team in rebounding with (4.3 rpg). His 5.4 assists per game were best in the Ivy league and 34th in the country. His 13.5 points per game placed him at 5th in the conference. In addition to that, Sean's 157 assists broke the Brown record for assists in a single season. Great job Sean!

February 28, 2012:
Ryan Jackson '11 is named Great Lakes Valley Conference Freshman of the Year!
Congratulations to current Lewis University guard, Ryan Jackson for being named Freshman of the Year in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Ryan was an all-state guard who graduated from RB in 2011 after a stellar 3 year varsity career that saw three conference championships, 2 regional championships, a sectional finals appearance, and many individual records and awards, including Metro Suburban Conference Player of the Year. Ryan has started all 26 games he has played in for the Flyers and is their second leading scorer at 12.8 points per game. Ryan's best games of the year have come against some of the best Division 2 teams in the country, including a career high 26 points vs. #19 Kentucky Wesleyan (who was in the top 10 at the time). Congratulations Ryan!

December 12, 2011:
--Ryan Jackson led Lewis University with a career high 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in their 79-53 win vs. Olivet Nazarene on Saturday.
--Sean McGonagill led Brown University with a near triple double in their 90-80 win over Central Connecticut this past Saturday. Sean had 27 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds in the Bears win.
November 19th:
Congratulations to Dan Oswald '09 who led Illinois Wesleyan University with 16 points in their 102-62 win over MacMurray College.
November 13th:
Sean McGonagill '10 led Brown University to a season opening 86-66 victory over Johnson and Wales with 22 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds. Click here to read about Sean's game.
November 5th:
Ryan Jackson '11, made his college debut vs. De Paul tonight. He started for Lewis in their 70-63 loss for the Blue Demons. Ryan played 28 minutes and led the Flyers in scoring with 16 points and also contributed 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
October 31st:
The Bulldog Basketball coaching staff would like to thank the 38 campers that took place in the first annual Fall Day of Hoops Camp at RB for 4th-8th graders. It was a great afternoon of hoops and the coaching staff wishes all the players good luck as they tryout for their school and travel teams.
October 14th:
The Bulldog Basketball program is excited to announce the hiring of Brian Kusnierz as the new Head Freshman coach, replacing Jim Franko. Coach Kusnierz joins Coach McCloskey's staff, bringing along 10 years coaching experience at the college (7 years) and AAU level (3 years).

- The Riverside Brookfield Basketball program would like to wish Mac Irvin a speedy recovery and we hope he gets well soon. Mac and his Mac Irvin Fire AAU program have been supporters of Bulldog Basketball the past few years and have been very genorous by donating shoes and gear to our program. Please keep Mac in your thoughts and prayers, as he is truly a class act in the Chicago area high school basketball scene. September 8, 2011:
- The Boys Basketball Program would like to thank Jim Franko for his 4 years of service to our program. Jim resigned this week as the head freshman coach and will be sorely missed by the entire program.
- Congratulations to 2011 RB Summer Shootout MVP, Keith Carter of Proviso East for committing to Loyola University today to play college basketball.
- Congratulations to former Bulldog Britt Davis '04, who caught a touchdown pass this past weekend for the Denver Broncos. Read about Britt's catch and pre-season with the Broncos here.
- Congratulations to Ryan Jackson ('11) who scored 29 points and led his team to the championship of the Sonny Parker College Players Summer League in Chicago on August 13th. Ryan was also named League MVP!
- Congratulations to Britt Davis ('04) who had one catch for 6 yards in the first pre-season game of the year for the Denver Broncos on August 12. Britt was also a key player on special teams for the Broncos.
- Tentative Varsity and Sophomore Schedules Have Both Been Released

- Tryouts for Varsity, Sophomore and Freshmen this year will take place on Monday, November 7th: All Players must have a physical on file in the athletic office in order to tryout.
- Congratulations to Sean McGonagill '10, who was named Rookie of the Year in the Ivy League this past season.
- Ryan Jackson '11 scored 9 points for the North team in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All Star Game on June 25th at Illinois Wesleyan University.
- The Bulldogs will have 5 alumni playing college basketball this upcoming season: Alex Dziagwa '11 at Augustana, Ryan Jackson '11 at Lewis University, Sean McGonagill '10 at Brown University, Terrence Reed '10 at Robert Morris College, and Dan Oswald '09 at Illinois Wesleyan University.
