John Paul Hanley once again led RB in scoring, posting 27 points in 21 minutes, and shooting 4-6 from the three point line. Joe Gilhooley chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds, while Will Gonzalez added 11 points. All 15 bulldogs got into the game and provided meaningful contributions.

The Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on the season after sweating out a nail-bitter against rival Oak Park River Forest. The bulldogs won 73-66 behind Joe Gilhooley's 26 points. Gilhooley and fellow senior JP Hanley (24 pts), played every minute of the game and provided excellent defense throughout the contest as well. Senior Brady Vaia protected the basketball and was huge handling the pressure down the stretch. The bulldogs take on Curie High School for the tournament championship tomorrow (11/27) 4:30 PM at RB.

The Bulldogs narrowly lost to Curie in the championship game of the Vandemerkt Thanksgiving Tournament. The back and forth contest ended with a final score of Curie 65 - Bulldogs 63. It was a balanced effort for the Bulldogs in defeat. John Paul Hanley led the way with 17 points, and Joevonn Mccottry and Joe Gilhooley pitched in 16 points apiece. Mccottry lead the way with 6 rebounds, and Will Gonzalez pitched in 6 assists.

The win was a balanced and team effort. John Paul Hanley lead the dogs with 18 points. Fellow senior Cory Baker chipped in 13 points, and Brady Vaia contributed 12. Seniors Joevonn McCottry and Joe Gilhooley scored in double figures as well. The Bulldogs play rival Lyons Township High School today (Saturday, 12/4) at 4:30 PM. The Bulldogs tamed rival Lyons Township, with a 69-59 victory Saturday afternoon. Senor JP Hanley again led the dogs in scoring, this time putting up 21 points. Will Gonzalez was 2nd in points with 12. It was a total team effort, and lots of players made great contributions. Junior Arius Alijosius came of the bench and made consecutive 3's during a key stretch of the game. Seniors Joevonn McCottry and Cory Baker provided excellent defense on Lyons' top player throughout the game. The dogs play next this Tuesday, December 7th at Ridgewood High School.

The Bulldogs cruised to a 82-35 victory over Ridgewood, behind contributions from many players. Seniors JP Hanley and Joevonn McCottry led the way with 17 and 15 points, respectively. Eleven different Bulldogs got into the scoring column in the win. Arius Alijosius chipped in two 3's off the bench, and junior Rex Dockendorf scored seven 4th quarter points. Seniors Victor Juister and Eddie Melidis made great defensive contributions in the 2nd half.

The Bulldogs cruised to a 82-20 victory over conference opponent Chicago Christian. Junior Arios Alijosius lead the dogs in scoring with 21 points, going 5/5 from the 3 point line. All 15 members of the bulldogs played in a total team victory. Seniors JP Hanley, Brady Vaia, and Joe Gilhooley scored in double figures as well.

The Bulldogs beat Romeoville High School 78-50 in game one of the Team Rose Classic at Mount Carmel High School. The dogs overcame a sluggish first half to cruise to the 28 point victory. Seniors John Paul Hanley and Joevonn McCottry lead the dogs in scoring with 21 and 18 points respectively. The Bulldogs beat a tough St. Francis team Friday night, hanging on for a 61-53 victory. The dogs were lead in scoring by seniors Joevonn McCottry and Joe Gilhooley, who each chipped in 16 points. Senior Brady Vaia made a clutch 3-pointer with under two minutes left in the game, to give the Bulldogs a little bit of breathing room. From there, the team made their free throws down the stretch, with key makes from McCottry and Gilhooley, along with sophomore Will Gonzalez and senior Cory Baker. Next up for the Dogs is a conference tilt against St. Edwards this Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.

The Bulldogs lost a tough one, 58-56, to Top 10 ranked Hyde Park Friday night. The Dogs were originally scheduled to play Von Steuben, but when the game was cancelled, Hyde Park was scheduled at the last minute. It was a fun atmosphere in a disappointing loss. Sophomore Will Gonzalez caught fire in the second half, going 6 for 6 from three point range in route to a game high 20 points. It's a quick turnaround for the Dogs, as the team is scheduled to take on local rival Nazareth this afternoon for a 4:00 PM tip at RB.

McCottry helped the dogs get out to a quick start with 15 first half points, and Vaia made some key free throws down the stretch. Junior Arius Alijosius came off the bench and scored 5 key points during an important stretch of the 4th quarter to give the Dogs some breathing room. McCottry finished with a team high 24 points, and the Bulldogs prevailed 71-59 to move to 5-0 in conference play. Fellow senior John Paul Hanley contributed 17 points, and played stellar defense on Timothy's best player for the entire 2nd half. Sophomore Will Gonzalez chipped in 12 points and 2 steals.

The RB Basketball team improved to 13-2 after a hard fought victory against Plainfield Central @ the MLK event hosted by Hyde Park High School. The dogs were lead by Senior Joe Gilhooley, who contributed 20 points and 17 rebounds and was named the games Most Outstanding Player by the tournaments organizers. Fellow seniors JP Hanley and Cory Baker chipped in 18 and 10 points, respectively. Baker hit two key free throws down the stretch to help the Bulldogs hang on for a 3 point victory. Senior JP Hanley came out firing, scoring a game high and season high 28 points. Hanley also chipped in 12 rebounds, 8 of which came on the offensive end. It was a balanced effort for the Bulldogs, with distributed scoring and consistent effort on both ends of the floor. The Bulldogs built up a double digit lead in the first half, but struggled to get stops in the second half. Senior Joevonn McCottry lead the dogs in scoring with 21 points, including 3 acrobatic dunks in the first half. Fellow senior JP Hanly scored 15 points, which included 4 three-pointers. With their first conference loss of the season, the Dogs are now tied for first place in the conference with some big match-ups forthcoming over the remainder of the season.

The Bulldogs dropped a heartbreaker to neighborhood rival Fenwick on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs struggled to score in the second half, mustering only 7 points total, and fell to Fenwick 38-36 in a defensive slugfest. A last second tip-in as the buzzer sounded by Fenwick sealed the outcome. The Bulldogs will look to get back on track this Tuesday, against conference rival ICCP. All 8 seniors and their families were honored before the game, in a truly memorable night. The Bulldogs were up 10 at halftime and were able to extend the lead to 30 by the start of the 3rd quarter, thanks in large part to a strong defensive effort. The Bulldogs went 10-10 from the FT line in the 4th quarter, with key makes from senior Brady Vaia and sophomore Will Gonzalez. The 20 point victory brought the Bulldogs regular season record to 21-5 heading into the playoffs next week. Senior JP Hanley led the Dogs with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Fellow senior Joevonn McCottry chipped in 14 points and played stellar defense throughout the game. The Bulldogs won a Regional Championship Friday Night, hanging on to beat a tough Oak Park Fiver Forest team 67-62. The Dogs were lead by senior Joe Gilhooley, who led all scorers with 24 points. Sophomore Will Gonzalez added 14, and seniors Joevonn McCottry and JP Hanley chipped in 12 and 10 points, respectively. Clutch free throw shooting down the stretch helped seal the victory. The Bulldogs went 15-16 from the line in the 4th quarter. Congrats to Coach Reingruber, the players and their families on winning the Regional! The Bulldogs lost a tightly contested match-up to #1 seed Whitney Young High School Tuesday night, falling to the Dolphins 64-54 in a tightly contested game. The loss ended the season for the Bulldogs, who finished with a conference record of 11-1 and an overall record of 23-6. Ir was a great year for the team, as the Bulldogs finished the year in sole possession of first place in conference, and won a regional title in one of the toughest 4A Sectionals in state. Thank you to the coaches, players, parents, and fans for another terrific season. A special thank you goes out to seniors Joevonn McCottry, DaMahrion Murrell, Cory Baker, Brady Vaia, JP Hanley, Joe Gilhooley, Victor Juister and Eddie Melidis.
