Bulldogs Season Ends in Sectional Semifinal vs. Bogan The Bulldogs (22-11, 9-3) battled number 1 seed Bogan to a close first half, trailing 30-24 at halftime, but went cold offensively in the second half and lost to the Bengals 71-44. The Dogs were led by Dylan Meehan with 13 points, Paul Zilinskas added 12 and Jamir Truman chipped in 10. The loss caps off a tremendous season for the Bulldogs. The Dogs were 7-7 after the Xmas holiday and finished the year extremely strong, going 15-4 the rest of the way, finishing 22-11. The Dogs were Metro Suburban Conference, Co-Champions, won the IHSA Class 3A Regional Championship (only the 9th in school history) and beat 4 teams that were ranked in the top 25 throughout the season. The loss ends the Bulldog careers of 9 seniors who put their heart and soul into the program over the past four years. Their leadership and work ethic will be missed. The culture they cultivated throughout their careers is what the lower levels should be looking up to. Congratulations to Dylan Meehan, Jamir Truman, and Paul Zilinskas for being named to the Metro Suburban Conference, All-Conference team. Best of luck to all seniors on their future endeavors. You will always be part of the Bulldog Basketball family!
Bulldogs Win Regional Championship! The Bulldogs (22-10, 9-3) beat a very good Glenbard South team, 67-53 in the IHSA Class 3A Regional Championship game. This regional championship is the second in a row for the Bulldogs (winning in 2019) and only 9th in the history of the school. The Dogs led 25-24 at halftime and begin to pull away in the third, leading by 11 after 3 quarters and pushing the lead to as many as 18 points in the mid 4th quarter. The Bulldogs got contributions from many different players, led by Paul Zilinkas and Jamir Truman with 17 points each. Zilinskas added 13 rebounds. Dylan Meehan chipped in 14 points. The Bulldogs travel to Hinsdale South on Tuesday, March 10th to take on Bogan in Sectional play. Come out and support the Bulldogs!
Dogs Roll in First Round of IHSA Playoffs The Bulldogs (21-10, 9-3) beat Goode STEM 69-21 to advance to the IHSA Regional Final. Contributions from all around boosted the Dogs to the 1st round victory. Four Bulldogs were in double figures led by Paul Zilinskas with 17pts. Jamir Truman and Dylan Meehan has 12 each with Joe Mieczkowski adding 10pts. The Bulldogs will face the winner of Wednesday's Glenbard South vs. Solorio game on Friday night for the IHSA Regional Championship.
Bulldogs Win 20th on Senior Night The Bulldogs (20-10, 9-3) ended the regular season with a 65-47 victory over Ridgewood to clinch a 20 win season. The Dogs shared the ball well and assisted on 20 of 28 made FGs in the game. Senior Paul Zilinskas had a career high 31pts hitting on 4 of 5 3pt shots and grabbed 9 rebounds. Senior Jamir Truman added 15pts. The Bulldogs begin their IHSA State Playoff run at home Tuesday March 3rd against Goode STEM Academy. The game will be a 7pm start.
Bulldogs Can't Finish Against LT A banged up Bulldog team (19-10, 9-3) was unable to close out LT on the road and lose 56-49 to drop their second in a row. Paul Zilinskas led the Dogs with 16pts. Jack Stivers added 13pts and 6rbs in a spot starting role, while Jamir Truman had 9pts and 9 rebounds. The Bulldogs will finish off the regular season on Wednesday against Ridgewood where they will honor the seniors on Senior Night.
RB Loses to Aurora Christian The Bulldogs (19-9, 9-3) lost a close one to Aurora Christian 74-69 to close out conference play. The Dogs hung tough in the second half and had a 3 to tie the game go in and out. JP Hanley had 21pts to lead the scoring for the Bulldogs. Following behind him was Paul Zilinskas with 19. Jamir Truman was all over the glass with 16 total rebound to go along with his 11 points.
Dogs Clinch Share of Conference Title The Bulldogs (19-8, 9-2) cruised to a share of the Metro Suburban Conference title with a 76-37 win over ACC. In total, 11 Bulldogs scored with 4 pushing into double figures. Paul Zilinskas dropped 19pts on 3-5 from 3pt range. Dylan Meehan dominted inside with 15pts around the basket. Ryan Gaynor stretched the defense hitting 4 3's. The Bulldogs look to win the conference title outright when they travel to Aurora Christian this Friday night.
Bulldogs Beat St. Francis The Bulldogs (18-8, 8-2) pulled off a tough conference road victory 59-56 against St. Francis on Friday to win their 7th straight game. Jamir Truman and Paul Zilinskas led scoring with 16pts and 10pts respectively. The Dogs look to clinch a share of the conference title this Monday against ACC.
Bulldogs Win in OT The Bulldogs (17-8, 7-2) needed overtime to beat Oak Lawn 64-58. RB showed just how balanced they can be on the offensive end with 7 players scoring 8pts or more. Jamir Truman led the way with 12pts. A back-and-forth game down the stretch, JP Hanley hit a huge go-ahead 3pt while Ryan Gaynor and Luke Gentile both hit clutch free throws to seal it for the Dogs. This marks the Dogs 6th win in a row and now have won 10 out of their last 11. Back to conference play this Friday as the Dogs travel to St. Francis.
Dogs Top Naz The Bulldogs (16-8, 7-2) overcame a sluggish first quarter against the Roadrunners to win 62-43. This marks the Dogs 5th win in a row and 9 of last 10. Three Bulldogs scored in double figures with Dylan Meehan leading the way finishing the game with 22pts. Paul Zilinskas was close to another double-double finishing with 15pts and 9rbs. Jamir Truman contributed 11pts of his own. Oak Lawn comes to RB Tuesday as the Dogs look to extend their winning streak.
RB Avenges Early Season Loss to IC The Bulldogs (15-8, 7-2) core shot 8-15 from 3pt in just over 3 quarters to run away from IC Catholic Prep 63-31 in front of a packed house. Paul Zilinskas had a double-double night with 21pts (4-5 3pt) and 11rebs. Ryan Gaynor was also efficient from 3pt land hitting 3 of his 5 from deep. RB opened the game on an 11-0 run with all points being scored by sophomore JP Hanley but Aurora Christian fought back to keep the game tight until the end. The Dogs had 4 players in double figures led by Jamir Truman with 19pts. Paul Zilinskas (15pts), Dylan Mehan (13pts), and JP Hanley (11pts) rounded out the balanced scoring attack. Dogs Top #24 Friars The Bulldogs (13-8, 5-2) beat #24 Fenwick 66-59 on Friday night. JP Hanley led the scoring attack with 19pts (5 3pts). Paul Zilinskas and Jamir Truman were also in double figures with 15 & 13 points respectively. The Dog offense assisted on 18 of 23 made shots. RB Beats CCHS The Bulldogs (12-8, 5-2) avenge an early season conference loss to CCHS with a huge 71-45 win at Chicago Christian on Friday night. After being tied at 25 at the half, the Bulldogs used a huge 2nd half to springboard themselves to victory. Jamir Truman led the Dogs with 18pts and 6rebs. Sophomore JP Hanley added 17pts and 6 assists. Paul Zilinskas put up near triple-double numbers with 9pts, 8rebs and 8 assists.
Dogs Streak Snapped at 4 The Bulldogs (11-8, 4-2) lost to Westinghouse 58-54 on Sunday ending their 4 game winning streak. Paul Zilinskas had 21pts (3-4 3pt) and Jamir Truman and Ryan Gaynor each had 9pts in the losing effort.
RB Wins 4th Straight The Bulldogs (11-7, 4-2) cruised past conference foe Bishop Mac 72-43. RB used a strong first half to jump out to a 43-18 lead heading into the locker room and didn't look back. Dogs Beat North Lawndale The Bulldogs (10-7, 3-2) defeated North Lawndale 72-59 in the MLK Dream Classic at Marshall High School on Sunday. Paul Zilinskas scored 12 of his game high 26pts in the 4th quarter to seal the win for the Dogs. Again, lots of contributions on the offensive end. Jamir Truman and Dylan Mehan were both in double figures with 12 and 11 points respectively. Luke Gentile had 9 points with Jack Stivers adding 7 of his own. The Bulldogs are back into conference play and will take on Bishop Mac at home this Friday.
RB Tops ACC The Bulldogs (9-7, 3-2) went on the road and took home another conference win beating ACC 67-53. A balanced scoring attack saw 4 different Bulldogs in double figures. St. Francis battled back in the 3rd but the Bulldogs were able to close strong to get back above .500 on the year. Paul Zilinskas filled up the stat sheet leading the Dogs with 26pts (4-6 3pt) 8rebs and 5 assist. Jack Stivers again came up big off the bench adding 16pts. The Dogs were an uncharacteristic 4-17 from 3pt land but still hung tight with the Crusaders until the end as a shot to tie the game fell short as time expired. RB Drops Final Game of Tosh The Bulldogs (7-6, 1-2) lose to St. Pat's 70-56 in their final game of the Jack Tosh Holiday Tournament. The Bulldogs just couldn't quiet overcome a 10pt halftime deficit as St. Pat's pulled away in the 4th quarter. The Dogs were led by Paul Zilinskas with 21pts & 9 rebounds. Ryan Gaynor added 4 threes of his own to finish with 12pts. The Bulldogs will have a few days off before heading to Br. Rice on January 7th.

The Dogs were 10-22 from 3pt (45%) and used a strong second half to put away the Chargers. Paul Zilinskas led the team with 28pts (5-8 3pt). JP Hanley was also in double figures with 10pts. Bulldogs Lose to ICCP In Close One The Bulldogs (5-4, 1-2) let a halftime lead slip away to ICCP and lose 60-59. In a back-and-forth game down the stretch, Paul Ziliniskas hit a shot with 5 seconds left to put the Bulldogs up 2. ICCP was able to draw a foul on a 3 point shot and buried all three free throws with no time remaining to win the game. Paul Zilinskas led the Bulldogs with 20pts (4-7 3pt, 6reb). Jack Stivers contributed off the bench with 15pts & 6rebs. The Bulldogs are off for a few days but will take on Stagg in the first round of the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic at York on Thursday December 26th.
