Bulldogs Battle but Lose to #1 Curie in Sectional Semis The Bulldogs (28-5, 11-1) dropped the final game of the season 62-53 to #1 Curie. The Dogs once again showed how much fight they have as they battled back from 18 down at half to cut the lead to 8 at one point by outscoring Curie 33-24 in the 2nd half. Patrick Hanley led the Dogs in scoring with 17pts on 3-5 from 3pt. Charles Terry finished with a double-double putting up 11pts and 10 rebounds. Andrew Veon battled inside to finish with 9pts and 9 rebounds. Reggie Loury contributed 9pts while playing great defense. Zach Vaia dealt with double teams and pressure all night and finished with 7 points.
Bulldogs Win Regional Championship over #9 Lincoln Park!!! The Bulldogs (28-4, 11-1) capture their first Regional Championship title since 2015 with a huge 69-60 comeback victory of #9 ranked Lincoln Park. The Dogs trailed by 12 at half but surged in the 3rd quarter to take a 1 point lead entering the 4th quarter and were able to stretch that to seal the win. The back and forth contest was witnessed by a huge Bulldog contingency who stormed the court after the victory. The Dogs again got contributions from multiple players. Four were in double figure scoring: Zach Vaia 25pts, Charles Terry 12pts, Patrick Hanley 10, & Andrew Veon 10. The Bulldogs move on to face #1 ranked Curie in the Proviso West Sectional Semi-Final this Tuesday.
Bulldogs Advance to Regional Final with Win Over Morton!!! The Bulldogs (27-4, 11-1) beat Morton 59-52 at Morton in their 1st round of the IHSA playoffs. The back and forth game saw the Dogs use a 23 point 2nd quarter to take the lead at the half, but Morton hung tough and was able to regain the lead during the 3rd quarter. Clutch threes by Reggie Loury and Zach Vaia down the stretch sealed the victory for the Dogs. Four starters were in double figures: Charles Terry 16pts (11rebs), Zach Vaia 15pts (8rebs, 6 asst), Andrew Veon 13pts (9rebs), and Reggie Loury 12pts (6rebs). The Bulldogs will play for the Regional Championship against Lincoln Park this Friday night at 7pm at Morton East High School.
Bulldogs Close out the Season with 13 Straight Victories with Win at Ridgewood! The Bulldogs (26-4, 11-1) beat Ridgewood 82-54 to closeout regular season play with 13 straight victories. All 5 starters were in double figure scoring for the night: Andrew Veon 21pts, Zach Vaia 16, Patrick Hanley 15, Charles Terry 12 & Reggie Loury 11. It was a night of milestones as well. The Bulldogs collect their 26th victory which sets the school record for most wins in a season. Zach Vaia also becomes only the 13th Bulldog in history to top the 1,000 point mark. The state playoff run begins Wednesday February 27th at Morton.
Bulldogs Beat De LaSalle for 12th Straight Win! The Bulldogs (25-4, 11-1) beat De LaSalle 82-67 at Evergreen Park High School to collect their 25th win of the season and 12th straight victory. The Dogs got 30 points off the bench and assisted on 21 of 28 field goals in the game. Patrick Hanley led the Dogs with 17pts (5-11 3pt) while Zach Vaia (5-12 3pt) had 16pts and 7 assists. Sam Grivetti and Ryan Cermak had big contributions off the bench with 16pts and 14pts respectively. The 25th win ties the school record for most wins in a single season at RB. The Bulldogs look to top that record and end the regular season with a W at Ridgewood on Tuesday night. Bulldogs Win Metro Suburban Conference with Victory Over Aurora Christian!!! The Bulldogs (24-4, 11-1) take home the Metro Suburban title with a revenge victory over Aurora Christian 51-47. The Dogs only conference loss was in an overtime contest to Aurora Christian earlier this year. On Senior Night, the Bulldogs closed out conference play with a hard-fought victory - making it 11 wins in a row. Every senior scored - Andrew Veon had 13 points & 11 rebounds. Zach Vaia also had 13 points with 4 assists and 3 steals. Patrick Hanley hit three 3's to finish with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Reggie Loury, Charles Terry and Ryan Cermak each had 4 points apiece and played terrific defense. Sam Grivetti gave efficient minutes off the bench with a bucket and drew a huge charge. The Dogs take on De LaSalle this Sunday at Evergreen Park High School.
Dogs Win 10th Straight With Win Over ACC The Bulldogs (23-4, 10-1) beat ACC 61-29 to win their 10th straight. The Dogs outscored the Chargers 35-11 in the second half to seal the win. Andrew Veon led the Bulldogs with and efficient 21 points on 9-12 from the floor. Ten Bulldogs in all ended up with a basket. The Dogs now focus their attention to this Friday's rematch with Aurora Christian to decide the conference title on Senior Night. Make it 9 In A Row as Bulldogs Beat St. Francis The Bulldogs (22-4, 9-1) blew past St. Francis 66-46 to win their 9th straight. The Dogs got it done on both ends of the court and led by as many as 36 in the game before giving the starters an early exit. Andrew Veon led the Bulldogs with 15pts and 9 rebounds. Patrick Hanley was also in double figures with 14 points. Nine different Bulldogs scored in total. The guys are back at it Tuesday in Aurora against ACC.

Another big defensive 3rd quarter saw the Dogs hold OL to only 4 points as they were able to put them away. Bulldogs yet again have 4 different players in double figure scoring. Zach Vaia led the way with 20 points and 5 assists. Andrew Veon notched a double-double with 12 points & 12 rebounds as Patrick Hanley added 12 of his own. The Dogs used a 27 point 2nd quarter to grab a lead and were able to hold on down the stretch. Another balanced scoring attack as Zach Vaia and Patrick Hanley led the way with 17 points each. Reggie Loury had 13 points including a huge 3 pointer with a minute to go. Andrew Veon also contributed with 11 points. The Dogs picked up the defense intensity in the 4th against the Knights and outscored them 20-0 in the 4th on the way to their 6th straight victory. A great all around effort from Charles Terry lead the way as he had 10pts, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and played great defense. Patrick Hanley lead the way for the scorers with 22 points (3-5 3pt). Zach Vaia led the Dogs with 20 points (4-8 3pt) 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Reggie Loury hit 5 3s of his own and grabbed a game high 10 rebounds. Charles Terry was also in double figures with 18 points. The Bulldogs will play Hinsdale South on Tuesday.

Patrick Hanley led all scorers with 23pts hitting on 7 of 16 3 pointers. Zach Vaia (16pts), Charles Terry (12pts) and Andrew Veon (12pts) were also in double figures. The Dogs have a big conference game again Chicago Christian this Friday at home.

Zach Vaia added 11pts 8 assists and 4 steals. Andrew Veon (8pts, 14 rebs) and Charles Terry (10pts, 8 rebs) owned the glass. The Bulldogs are back in action Sunday as they hit the road to take on Marshall in the MLK Dream Classic at Marshall.

A balanced scoring attack saw all 5 of the Bulldog starters in double figures. Reggie Loury led the way with 20pts (6-7 3pt). Andrew Veon had another solid game finishing with 14pts, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Zach Vaia filled the stat sheet with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Bulldogs Beat Wheaton North in Jack Tosh Holiday Classic The Bulldogs (12-3) beat Wheaton North 65-47 behind a terrific all-around game by Charles Terry. Terry played tremendous defense and also had 19 points and 10 rebounds. Three other Bulldogs were in double figures: Patrick Hanley 16, Zach Vaia 11, and Andrew Veon 10. The Bulldogs are off until they square off against Brother Rice at home on Tuesday January 8th.

The Bulldogs (3-0) used an all-around team effort to defeat #10 OPRF 70-50 to come out on top of their pool and earn a chance to play for the championship of the VandeMerkt Thanksgiving Classic. The Dogs out rebounded the Huskies 39-20 as a team and shot 69% from 3pt range. The defense held the Huskies to 1-16 from 3pt range and 40% overall from the field. Andrew Veon had a double-double with 21pts, 11rbs and 4 assists. Zach Vaia finished with 14pts (4-5 3pt), 6 assists and 4 steals. Charles Terry was also in double figures with 11pts & 8rbs. Successful Summer for the Bulldogs: The Varsity Bulldogs had a solid summer, participating in numerous different events, including: Addison Trail High School Shootout, Hoop Mountain Shootout at Batavia High School, Maine East Shootout, and the prestigious Morris Shootout at the end of June. The Riverside Brookfield Summer Shootout, the first weekend of June, and the RB Summer League on Monday and Wednesday Nights are two more events the Bulldogs hosted and participated in. Last, the Bulldogs participated in two college team camps at Marquette University and Bradley University. The Bulldogs finished 27-16 on the summer and it was a great way to blend the returning seniors with the upcoming juniors together. The basketball program has a lot of optimism looking toward the start of the season in November!
