Elmwood Park
The Freshman A Team clinched the outright conference championship with a 47-24 victory over Elmwood Park. Henry Trelenberg led the team with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Jalen Brooks scored 8 points and had 6 rebounds. The A Team finished the season with a 20-4 record overall and a 11-1 conference record.
The B Team clinched first place with a 47-14 victory over Elmwood Park. Keenan Scott led the team in scoring with 15 points. Billy Wackrow scored 7 points to help the cause. The B Team won the conference with a 10-1 record.
St. Charles East
The A Team was not ready to play in a 48-38 loss to St. Charles East. The Saints jumped out to a 13-0 lead and led 24-8 after the first quarter. The Dogs made several runs to cut the lead to 7 throughout the game, but could never get closer. Jalen Brooks led the team with 14 points and 3 rebounds. Henry Trelenberg scored 13.
The B Team could not hold onto a late lead in regulation and let the Saints force an overtime, where they beat the Dogs 44-40. Billy Wackrow led the team with 9 points. Keenan Scott scored 8 and Curtis Baker added 7
Ridgewood
The Freshman A Team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 44-14 win against Ridgewood. Henry Trelenberg led the team with 16 points. Jalen Brooks scored 11 points and had 6 steals. Caleb Lucas led the team in rebounding with 5 boards. Doushon Whitaker and Patrick Goodwin each had 4 assists.
The B Team beat Ridgewood 32-25. Declan Lanam scored 12 points to lead the team. Curtis Baker scored 9 points.
Wheaton Warrenville South
The A team toughed out a very defensive oriented game and beat WWS 31-29 with a terrific team effort. In a game where neither team led by more than 3, the Bulldogs did not allow WWS to score a basket in the 4th quarter, and only allowed 2 free-throws in the quarter. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Henry Trelenberg with 16 points. Jalen Brooks scored 11 and pulled down 5 rebounds.
The B Team lost to WWS 42-34. Declan Lanam scored 10 points and Keenan Scott added 7.
Glenbard South
The A Team won their tenth game in a row and easily beat Glenbard South 47-23. Henry Trelenberg scored 24 points and had 4 steals. Jalen Brooks scored 10 points and had 5 rebounds. Mike Torres led the team with 6 rebounds and Doushon Whitaker and Patrick Goodwin each had 3 assists.
The B Team also beat Glenbard South handily by a score of 51-26. The Dogs made 10 3-pointers and were led in scoring by Keenan Scott who dropped 14 points. Anthony Landahl scored 10 points, Billy Wackrow scored 9, and Jamari Wise scored 7 and pulled down 6 rebounds. Illiana Christian
The A Team team grabbed control of first place in the conference with a 51-34 win over Illiana Christian. The Dogs continued to play great defense and had a comfortable lead throughout the game. Henry Trelenberg led the team in scoring with 20 points. Patrick Goodwin scored 14 points to go along with 4 assists. Jalen Brooks scored 10 points.
Timothy Christian
The A Team avenged their only conference loss with a 38-27 win over Timothy Christian. Doushon Whitaker and Zach Georgeopolous played terrific defense on Timothy's best player and held him to only 9 points. Henry Trelenberg scored 22 points and had 6 rebounds. Jalen Brooks scored 15 points and also had 6 rebounds.
The B Team was great on both ends of the floor and easily won 44-13. Curtis Baker and Jamari Wise each scored 10 points. Billy Wackrow contributed 8 points.
Providence Catholic
The A Team won a defensive battle with Providence Catholic 37-32. Patrick Goodwin scored a season high 11 points including three huge 3-pointers to lead the Bulldogs. Henry Trelenberg also scored 11 points and pulled down 7 rebounds and dished out 3 assists. Jalen Brooks scored 10 points and had 6 rebounds.
The B Team also played good defense, but their shots just wouldn't fall in a 32-22 loss. Billy Wackrow and Keenan Scott both scored 5 points. Fenton A strong defensive effort helped the Freshman A team beat Fenton 43-31. Henry Trelenberg scored 18 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, had 3 assists, and 5 steals. Jalen Brooks scored 15 points and had 4 rebounds. Caleb Lucas had 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
THe B Team also beat Fenton 46-35. Declan Lanam led the team with 13 points. Jamari Wise scored 12 and Keenan Scott added 7 points. Elmwood Park
The A Team easily defeated Elmwood Park 48-26. Henry Trelenberg led the team with 21 points and 7 steals. Jalen Brook scored 17 points and had 5 steals. Caleb Lucas led the team with 7 rebounds.
The B Team also beat Elmwood Park by the score of 54-16. Billy Wackrow led the team with 20 points. John Mieczkowski scored 9 points, and Jamari Wise and Jakob Veselsky each scored 8.
Illiana Christian
The Freshman A Team beat Illiana Christian 52-38. After being tied at the half 24-24, Illiana came out strong in the third quarter and led 35-28 with 2:30 left in the quarter. The Bulldogs then played some of their best defense all year and only gave up on basket the last 9:30 of the game. The Dogs outscored Illiana 24-3 to finish the game. Henry Trelenberg had a monster game with 37 points and 5 rebounds. Jalen Brooks scored 11 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. Doushon Whitaker played a great game at the point passing out 4 assists and taking 2 charges.
The B team lost 52-46 in a very winnable game. The Bulldogs just couldn't get stops when they needed them. Jamari Wise scored 15 points. John Mieczkowski scored 10 points and Declan Lanam added 9.
Ridgewood The A Team easily handled Ridgewood and won 54-21. A very balance scoring effort was led by Henry Trelenberg with 13 points. Jalen Brooks scored 11 points and had 5 steals. Tremaine Conley scored 9 points and Mike Torres scored 6.
The B Team remained undefeated in conference play with a 49-31 win. Declan Lanham led the team with 17 points. Jamari Wise scored 14 points, Billy Wackrow had 8 points, and Jack Jurgens added 6 points.
Glenbard South The Freshman A Team played their best defensive game of the year and beat Glenbard South 48-33. Henry Trelenberg led the way with 26 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 assists. Jalen Brooks scored 18 points, pulled down 5 rebounds, and had 3 steals. Caleb Lucas was also good with 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.
The B Team was also terrific on the defensive end and won 34-19. Declan Lanam led the team with 10 points. Jamari Wise scored 6 points and Jack Jurgens and Tremaine Conley each scored 5 points.
Nazareth The Bulldog A Team ended a 2 game losing streak by beating Nazareth Academy 51-41. The Dogs played one of their better defensive games of the season and made 15 of 18 free throws. Henry Trelenberg had a great game with 28 points, 8 steals, and 7 rebounds. Jalen Brooks was good again with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Doushon Whitaker had 4 points and 4 steals for the Bulldogs.
The B Team also won their game. A terrific defensive effort led to a 50-27 win. Zack Georgeopolis was terrific on both ends of the floor. He scored 15 points and had numerous steals. Jamari Wise led the team in scoring with 19 points. John Mieczkowski scored 6.
St. Joseph The Freshman A Team lost to a very talented and athletic St. Joe's team 53-50 in the third place game of the RB Christmas Classic. Henry Trelenberg led the Dogs with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Jalen Brooks Scored 16 points and pulled down 7 rebounds.
The B Team also lost in the third place game of their bracket 34-27 to Andrew. Billy Wackrow led the team with 6 points.
Marist The Freshman ATeam lost to a good Marist team 53-39 in the semi-finals of the RB Christmas Classic. The Bulldogs and Redhawks were tied early in the fourth quarter, but Marist executed better down the stretch. Henry Trelenberg led the Bulldogs with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Jalen Brooks scored 10 points and had 9 rebounds. Jamari Wise added 8 points.
The B Team also came up a little short and lost to Marist 44-37. Keenan Scott led the team in scoring with 9 points. Declan Lanham scored 8 points. Both teams play for third place tomorrow on 12/21 at 11:30 am in the East Gym.
St. Laurence The Freshman A Team played their best defensive game of the year and beat St. Laurence 54-35. The Bulldogs were led by Jalen Brooks who had 12 points and a monster game on the boards with 16 rebounds. Jalen also had 4 steals and 4 blocked shots. Henry Trelenberg was the teams leading scorer with 22 points. Jamari Wise scored 9 points for the Dogs.
The B Team also played a very good game and beat St. Laurence 51-45 in overtime. Declan Lanam led the team with 17 points. He scored all the Bulldogs points in the overtime session. Billy Wackrow and Keenan Scott both scored 8 points.
Timothy Christian The Freshman A Team did not play well and lost to Timothy Christian 48-44. The Bulldogs bad effort combined with poor defense contributed to the loss. The 17 turnovers also did not help the cause. Henry Trelenberg led the team with 23 points and 5 rebounds. The B Team did not have a game.
Glenbard East The A Team improved to 6-0 with a 54-37 win over Glenbard East. The Bulldogs never trailed and shot over 50% from the field. Henry Trelenberg scored 23 points. Jalen Brooks had a great overall game with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals. Patrick Goodwin scored 6 points and led the team with 4 assists.
The B Team lost a heartbreaker 52-47 in overtime. Zach Georgeopolous led the team with 12 points. Anthony Landahl and Jamari Wise each scored 9 points.
LT The A Team beat LT 51-46. The Bulldogs trailed the whole game and finally took the lead in the last 2 minutes of the game. Henry Trelenberg led the Dogs with 25 points and also had 7 rebounds. Jalen Brooks scored 8 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Both Patrick Goodwin and Doushon Whitaker scored 6.
The B Team had a tough time matching LT's size and lost 62-38. Jamari Wise scored 13 points and Declan Lanham scored 10 to lead the Bulldogs.
Fenton A shorthanded A Team pulled out a conference road victory 54-44 against Fenton. They were led by Henry Trelenberg who scored 24 points, pulled down 8 rebounds, distributed 5 assists, and had 4 steals. Caleb Lucas scored 7 points and had 6 rebounds. Keenan Scott also scored 7 points.
The B Team was also shorthanded and won 53-38. Jamari Wise led the Bulldogs with 23 points. John Mieczkowski scored 10 points and Billy Wackrow scored 9.
Fenwick The Freshman A Team overcame a 16 point halftime deficit to beat Fenwick 45-40 to win the title. A slow start on offense and foul trouble on defense allowed Fenwick to take a 29-13 lead at the half. In the third quarter the Bulldogs pressure defense turned the game around. Fenwick only scored two points in the third quarter and the lead was cut to 31-30. Henry Trelenberg led the team with 20 points and 3 steals. Jalen Brooks added 7 points and 5 rebounds. Caleb Lucas led the team with 8 rebounds.
The B Team could not overcome a 24-11 halftime deficit and lost to Fenwick 50-45 after a great 4th quarter comeback. Jamari Wise led the team with 16 points. Billy Wackrow and Declan Lanham both had 7 points and Keenan Scott scored 6.
St. Rita The A Team perfectly executed the defensive game plan and came away with a 52-40 win against St. Rita. The Bulldogs held Rita to 16 first half points while committing no fouls in the half. Henry Trelenberg had a terrific game. He had 30 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Jalen Brooks had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Curtis Baker added 5 points.
The B team was terrific on defense and won 32-12. The Dogs allowed 1 point in the first half. The team was led by Patrick Goodwin who scored 15 points. Jamari Wise contributed 10 points.
Argo The A Team overcame a slow start to defeat Argo 44-30. The leading scorer for the Bulldogs was Henry Trelenberg with 19 points. He also led the team with 3 assists. Jalen Brooks had a terrific all around game with 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Caleb Lucas contributed 4 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.
The B Team played an excellent game on both ends of the floor and defeated Argo 52-27. Jack Jurgens led the way with 16 points. Billy Wackrow scored 11 points and Keenan Scott added 8.
