2/23/13
The Freshman A Team impressively capped off their undefeated season with a 46-16 victory over Elmwood Park.  The Dogs were dominate on the defensive end by forcing 39 Turnovers and getting 29 steals. Sam
Falk led the Dogs with 10 pointss.   Daniko Jackson had a nice all-around game with 9 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals.  Butch Witken scored 8 points and had 10 rebounds.  Jack Domeier and James Kaczmarczyk each had 6 points.  Domeier also had 8 rebounds.  The A Team finished the season 24-0 and 12-0 in the Metro
Suburban Conference.
The B Team continued their great improvement by easily defeating Elmwood Park 60-25.  They ended the game on a 41-8 run.  Richie Gentile led the team in scoring with 17 points with 5
three-pointers.  Alex Martinson scored 11 points and Maclean Nolan scored 10.  They finished the season with a record of 17-7 and 12-0 in conference play.


2/19/13 vs St. Charles East
The Freshman A Team won their most competitive game in 2 months and beat a very talented St.Charles East squad 48-44 to improve to 23-0 on the season.  Behind some good defense the Dogs led 23-13 at the half.   In the second half the Bulldogs struggled to get stops and let the Saints take a 42-39 lead with less than 3 minutes left in the game.  This was the first time the Bulldogs trailed in the fourth quarter all year.  James Kaczmarczyk hit a huge 3-pointer to tie the game and the Bulldogs clamped down defensively to
finish the game with a huge win.  Kaczmarczyk led the team with 16 points and 6 Rebounds.  Mikey Berscheid scored 7 points and had 4 steals.  Sam Falk had 7 points and 5 rebounds.  Daniko Jackson had 6 points and 6 assists and Jack Domeir scored 6 points and 6 rebounds.  The Freshman Team closes out its season on Saturday, February 23rd vs Elmwood Park.  
The B Team continued its excellent play on the defensive end and won 32-29.  Richie Gentile led the team with 11 points and Justin Chaney scored 7 points.  This was the B Teams 10th straight win.


2/15/13 vs Ridgewood
The Freshman A and B team both remained unbeaten in conference play.  The A team survived a poor defensive effort and won 69-41.  Leb by Butch Witken's great defense the team was finally able to get enough stops to put away Ridgewood.  Mikey Bersheid led a very balanced offensive attack.  He contributed 18 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.  His backcourt mate Daniko Jackson tallied 12 points and 8 assists.  Jack Domeier controlled the paint with 10 points and 8 rebounds.  James Kaczmarczyk had 9 points and 8 rebounds and Sam Falk also scored 9 points. 
The B Team continued its impressive play since Christmas and won 62-26.  Richie Gentile led the team with 20 points, including 5 3-pointers.  Alex Martinson continued his terrific play around the basket and scored 19 points.  Maclean Nolan scored 8 points and Daniel Rafael scored 6.

2/8/13 vs Glenbard South
The Freshman A Team played an incredible second half and beat Glenbard South 82-40.  The Bulldogs outscored south 28-4 in the third quarter.  The Bulldogs played very unselfishly and had 22 assists on 30 made baskets and shot 67% from the field.   James Kaczmarczyk scored 27 points, including six 3-pointers, and had 5 steals.  Mikey Bersheid score 22 points and had 6 assists.  Bersheid also had the shot of the year by sinking a 3/4 court shot to end the third quarter.  Daniko Jackson had 10 points and 6 assists, and
Sam Falk also contributed 6 assists.
The B team also played great and won 52-32.  Dean Zigulich played a great floor game and
scored 11 points.  Maclean Nolan and Alex Martinson each scored 10 points, Richie Gentile scored 9 points and Justin Chaney added 8 points.   




2/5/13 vs Illiana Christian
The Freshman A Team easily defeated Illiana Christian 65-29.  James Kaczmarczyk led the team in scoring with 18 points.  Mikey Berscheid was great again with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Sam Falk
scored 10 points, Butch Witken added 8, and Daniko Jackson scored 7 points and had 6 assists with no turnovers.  Jack Domeier controlled the boards by pulling down 9 rebounds.  The B Team played the best defensive game of the year.  They only allowed 1 first half point to take a 19-1 lead at the half.  They
ended up winning 32-8.  Justin Chaney scored 14 points and Daniel Rafael contributed 6 points .  The Bulldogs next game is Friday February 8th at 5pm in the East Gym.

2/2/13 vs Timothy Christian
Freshman A Team remained undefeated by easily defeating Timothy Christian 59-21.  Jack Domeier led the Bulldogs in scoring with 16 points.  He also hauled down 5 rebounds.  The backcourt tandem of Mikey Bershceid and Daniko Jackson was excellent.  Berscheid had 9 points, 6 assists and 6 steals.   Jackson had 8 points 5 assists, and 3 steals.  Sam Falk contributed 9 points and Ryan Swift and Butch Witken each scored 6.
The B Team won their 6th game in a row by beating Timothy Christian 52-29.  Alex Martinson led the team with 13 points.  Justin Chaney scored 11, Maclean Nolan scored 8, Richie Gentile scored 7, and Kenny Ngo added 6 points.

1/26/13 vs Fenton
The Freshman A Team easily handled Fenton and won 64-24.  Multiple players had terrific games.  James Kaczmarczyk had 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Mikey Berscheid scored 13 points and had 3 steals.  Daniko Jackson contributed 12 points, 7 assists, and 5 steals.  Sam Falk had 8 points and 5 rebounds and Butch Witken had 6 points and 5 rebounds.  The B Team continued their strong play and won 60-21.  Alex Martinson scored 21 points.  Richie Gentile scored 15 points and Maclean Nolan contributed 9 points.  

1/22/13 vs Wheaton Warrenville South
The Freshman A Team best Wheaton Warrenville South 58-36.  The Bulldogs only led 23-18 at halftime, but started the second half with a 28-5 run to take a 28 point lead.  Sam Falk led the Dogs in scoring with 18 points.  He also had 5 rebounds to lead the team.  James Kaczmarczyk scored 13 points and
Daniko Jackson had another terrific all-around game with 8 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals. 
The Freshman B Team played their best game of the season and won 49-19.  It was by far the teams best effort on the defensive end of the floor.  Richie Gentile led the team with 16 points.  Justin Chaney
scored 10 and Alex Martinson contributed 9 points to the win. 

1/19/13 vs Elmwood Park
The A Team jumped out to a quick lead and easily defeated Elmwood Park 63-10.  Daniko Jackson led the Dogs with 17 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds.  Davonte Mikell had a season high 15 points.  Mikey Berscheid scored 7 points to go along with 4 asssist.  Butch Witken, Jack Domeier, and James Kaczmarczyk each scored 6 points.  Witken led the team with 5 steals.
The B Team pulled away late in the 4th quarter to secure a 44-33 win.  Maclean Nolan led the team with 13 points. Richie Gentile scored 10 points and Justin Chaney scored 7 points. 

1/11/13 vs Ridgewood
The A Team continued its good play and beat Ridgewood 63-36.  The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Ryan Swift, Daniko Jackson, and Sam Falk who each scored 11 points.  Swift led the team with 8 Rebounds and Jackson had 5 assists.  Jack Domeier scored 10 points and Mikey Berscheid contributed 8 points to the victory.
The B Team won their second consecutive game by beating Ridgewood 52-29.  A Balanced scoring attack was led by Dean Zigulich who scored 10 points.  Richie Gentile and Daniel Rafael scored 8 and Steven Dawson, Maclean Nolan, and Alex Martinson all scored 6 points. 
1/9/13 vs Glenbard East-
The Freshman A Team beat Glenbard East 53-34.  The Dogs jumped out to a 15-4 first quarter lead and never looked back.  James Kaczmarczyk made 7 three-pointers and ended up with 21 points.  He also had 6 rebounds.  Sam Falk scored 11 points and pulled down 6 boards.  Davonte Mikell chipped in 7 points. 
The B Team won an exciting 37-36 game in overtime.  Justin Chaney made a huge 3 pointer with less than 10 seconds in OT to give the Bulldogs the lead.  Then a great defensive stand by the Bulldogs clinched the win.  Chaney led the team with 11 points and Dean Zigulich scored 10 points. 

1/5/13 vs Nazareth Academy
The Freshman A Team beat Nazareth 55-28 and improved their record to 13-0.  Sam Falk played one of his best games of the season by scoring 18 points and pulling down 7 rebounds.  Mikey Berscheid scored 16 points and had 6 steals.  Daniko Jackson contributed 11 points and 6 assists.  Jack Domeier pulled down 9 rebounds. 
The B Team lost 33-24 in the second game of the morning.  Alex Martinson led the team with 7 points.  Dean Zigulich scored 6 points and Maclean Nolan added 5 points.

12/22/12 vs Marist
The Freshman A Team beat an excellent Marist Team to capture the First Annual RB Christmas Classic.  The Dogs won 47-37.  The Dogs jumped out to an early 16 point lead, but Marist was able to cut the lead to two
late in the third quarter.  Daniko Jackson then scored the next 6 points to give the Bulldogs a more comfortable lead.  Sam Falk took two great charges and hit a huge corner 3 pointer to help seal the win.  Jackson led the Bulldogs with 12 points and 4 steals. Mikey Bersheid played another great game by contributing 9 points, 4 steals, and 4 rebounds.  Sam Falk and Ryan Swift both scored 7 points. 
The B Team lost a close game 40-34.  Dean Zigulich and Alex Martinson both scored 11 points to lead the Bulldogs. 

12/21/12 vs Andrew
The A Team won the second game of the RB Christmas Classic 47-24 over Andrew HS.  The Bulldogs defense led the way.  Andrew was only able to score 6 points in the 2nd and 3rd Quarters combined.  Mikey Bersheid had a very good shooting night and led the Dogs with 12 points.  He also pulled down 5 rebounds.  Daniko Jackson scored 11 points and Ryan Swift had 8 points and 5 rebounds.  James Kaczmarczyk led the team with 8 rebounds.
The B Team also won 36-31.  Daniel Rafael scored a season high 13 points and Kenny Ngo and Steven Dawson each had 6 points.


12/20/12 vs St. Laurence
The A Team opened up the RB Christmas Classic with a 48-22 victory over St. Laurence.  They overcame a poor shooting night by playing suffocating defense.  Sam Falk and Davonte Mikell did a terrific job by holding the Vikings best player to zero points.  James Kaczmarczyk led the team in scoring with 13 points.  He also had 5 steals.  Daniko Jackson had 9 points, 4 assists, and 7 steals.  Sam Falk scored 9 points and had 5 rebounds. 
The B Team lost a hard fought contest to the Vikings 34-27.  Richie Gentile led the team with 7 points.  Gavin Kunish and Daniel Rafael both scored 4 points. 

Bulldogs opened up 12/18/12 vs Glenbard South
Both Freshman teams remained undefeated in conferece with wins over Glenbard South.  The A team was led by Jack Domeier with a season high 18 points and 6 rebounds.  James Kazcmarzcyk tallied 14 points. 
Sam Falk had a very good all-around game with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.  Daniko Jackson also played well and contributed 7 points, 7 assists, and 4 steals. 
The B Team was led by Richie Gentile who scored 12 points.  Alex Martinson scored 9, Brandon Bennett scored 8, Daniel Rafael dropped 7 points and Justin Chaney scored 6. 

12/14/12 vs Illiana Christian
The A Team defeated Illiana Christian 60-25.  A very good defensive effort was led by Butch Witken who led the team with 6 steals.  James Kaczmarczyk led the team in scoring with 17 points.  Daniko Jackson scored 12 points and had 4 assists.  Sam Falk and Davonte Mikell both contributed 9 points. 
The B Team beat Illiana Christian 41-30.  The team was led in scoring by Brandon Bennett who scored 11 points.  Alex Martinson scored 9 points, Steven Dawson scored 7 points and Richie Gentile scored 6. 

12/11/12 vs Timothy Christian
The A Team beat Timothy Christian 66-29 despite turning the ball over 21 times.  James Kacsmarczyk led the team in scoring with 16 points, 14 of which came in the 3rd Quarter.   Sam Falk had a season high 11 points and Richie Gentile scored 9 points.  Daniko Jackson led the team with 6 assists and 5 steals.  Butch Witken pulled down 5 rebounds. 
The B Team broke a 2 game losing streak with a 50-16 win over Timothy Christian.  Richie Gentile scored 13 points, Alex Martinson scored 7, and Gavin Kunish and Justin Chaney both tallied 6. 

12/5/12 vs Providence Catholic
The A Team overcame a tough shooting night by playing great defense and defeated Providence Catholic on their home court 41-33.  The Bulldogs forced 25 Turnovers and Mikey Berscheid and Davonte Mikell did a terrific job on PCA's best player.  Offensively the Dogs were led by Daniko Jackson who scored 19 points, 13 of which came in the 4th quarter of a very close game.  James Kaczmarczyk scored 10 points.  Ryan Swift led the team with 5 rebounds and Berscheid led the team with 6 steals.
The B Team lost a big early lead and lost 40-34.  Turnovers and defensive rebounding continue to be a problem.  Alex Martinson and Justin Chaney both scored 8 points and Richie Gentile added 7 points. 

12/1/12 vs Lyons Township
The Freshman A Team beat LT 55-25.  A great first half on both ends of the floor gave the Bulldogs a 37-8 halftime advantage.  Daniko Jackson led the team with a terrific all-around game.  He had 12 points, 6 assists, 9 steals, and 4 rebounds.  James Kaczmarczyk had 13 points and 7 rebounds.  Mikey Berscheid scored a season high 13 points and Butch Witken had 8 points. 
The B Team struggled with Turnovers and giving up to many offensive rebounds in a 42-23 loss to LT.  Alex Martinson had 7 points and Gavin Kunish scored 6. 
11/30/12 vs Fenton
The Freshman A Team won their first conference game by defeating Fenton 51-18.  In a great team effort, the Bulldogs had many contributors.  James Kaczmarczyk led the team in scoring with 19 points.  Jack Domeier scored 10 points and 5 Rebounds, Ryan Swift scored 9 points, and Sam Falk scored 8 points and had 4 assists.  Daniko Jackson led an excellent defensive effort with 7 steals. 
The B Team followed up back to back losses with their best effort of the season.  Alex Martinson scored 12 points and Richie Gentile and Steven Dawson scored 10 each. 
11/24/12 vs Fenwick
The Freshman A Team withstood a second half comeback by the Fenwick Friars and won the First Annual Freshman Level VandeMerkt Classic 51-46.  Jack Domeier had a great game with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Daniko Jackson scored 10 points and made two big free-throws to clinch the win. 
James Kaczmarczyk added 9 points and 5 boards, Sam Falk scored 8 points and had 4 assists.
 The B Team struggled with turnovers and lost 47-22 to Fenwick.  Brandon Bennett scored 7 points and Richie Gentile added 5 points.

11/23/12 vs St. Rita 
The Freshman A Team pulled out an impressive 49-45 win over highly regarded St. Rita HS.  The Bulldogs were led by Daniko Jackson who had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.  A well rounded scoring attack included 9 points from Mikey Berscheid, and 8 points from Sam Falk and James Kaczmarczyk.  Jack Domier led the Bulldogs with 7 rebounds and Davonte Mikell played great defensively by contributing 6 steals. 
The Freshman B Team couldn't overcome a slow start and lost 53-22 to St. Rita.  Alex Martinson led the team with 7 points.  Richie Gentile added 6 points and both Gavin Kunish and Brandon Bennett scored 5. 

11/21/12 vs Argo
The Freshman A & B Teams both opened up the season with wins over Argo.  The A Team won 43-29.  James Kaczmarczyk led the team with 12 points and 9 rebounds.  Sam Falk scored 8 points and Jack Domeier tallied 7 points.  Mikey Berscheid and Daniko Jackson both chipped in 6 points and 3 assists. 
The B Team beat Argo 43-24 and were led by Daniel Rafaels 13 points.  Brandon Bennett scored 10 points in the victory.
